Urgent Warning to Christians: A Deceptive Claim You Must Not Ignore

A Self-proclaimed Antichrist

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,

Today, a video is circulating in which a man named Abdullah Hashem Aba Al-Sadiq boldly declares himself “the successor of Imam Mahi Alisam, the successor of the comforter Ahmed, the successor of Simon Peter, the successor of Muhammad, the successor of Jesus Christ. I am the true and legitimate pope..." and the inheritor of all spiritual authority125. This is not a minor claim-it strikes at the very heart of our faith and the clear teachings of Scripture.

Why Should We Be Concerned?

The Bible warns us repeatedly that in the last days, many will come in Christ’s name, claiming to be His representatives or successors, seeking to deceive even the elect if possible (Matthew 24:4-5,24 CSB). Jesus Himself declared, “For false messiahs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect” (Matthew 24:24 CSB).

Abdullah’s claims are not only unbiblical but eerily align with the prophetic warnings about the rise of the Antichrist and false prophets in the end times (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 CSB; 1 John 2:18 CSB). He openly asserts global spiritual authority, demanding obedience and claiming to be the fulfillment of prophecies from multiple faiths15. This is precisely the kind of deception Jesus and the apostles warned us about.

The Truth About Jesus’ Authority

Let us remember: Jesus Christ has no earthly successor. He is the eternal King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation 19:16 CSB). He alone is the mediator between God and humanity (1 Timothy 2:5 CSB). No man can claim His throne or His role as Savior, Redeemer, and Judge.

What Should We Do?

  • Be vigilant: Test every spirit and every claim against the Word of God (1 John 4:1 CSB).

  • Warn others: Share this message so that no believer is led astray by false teachings and counterfeit “christs.”

  • Cling to Christ: Hold fast to the truth that Jesus is alive, reigning, and coming again-not through a human successor, but in glory (Acts 1:11 CSB).

“Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits in God’s temple, proclaiming that he himself is God.”

  • 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 CSB

Final Exhortation

Brothers and sisters, do not be swayed by impressive words or miraculous claims. The true Christ will return as He promised, and every eye will see Him (Revelation 1:7 CSB). Until then, let us stand firm in faith, exposing deception and proclaiming the unchanging gospel of Jesus Christ.

Share this post to warn others. Stay rooted in the Word. The truth prevails over darkness.
