“The Earth is breaking… Are you ready?” These are not merely the words of an image. They are a trumpet, echoing in a generation asleep at the threshold of eternity. The tectonic groans of nature, the political unraveling of empires, the moral erosion of civilizations — all cry out, not with words but with convulsions: the Tribulation is coming.
We are no longer in the season of delay. The fig tree has budded. The oil lamps are either full or failing. The clock of mercy is ticking its final moments before the door of the ark swings shut. And yet, most are laughing at the stormclouds as though they are cotton candy, not fire.
The Earth Groans: Signs Beneath Our Feet
Just as birth pains increase before the delivery, so does the Earth labor with signs that even blind men should feel. Earthquakes, wars, famines, and perversions flood the nations. These are not random acts of nature or society; they are contractions of a dying age. As Romans 8:22 declares, "the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now." But the question is not, “Is the world breaking?” The question is: Are you breaking with it, or are you being broken for Christ? One leads to despair; the other to deliverance.
A Parable of the Fools and the Wise
There were ten virgins. All waited. All dressed for the occasion. But only five had oil. The others carried lamps, but no fire. And when the midnight cry rang out—“Behold, the Bridegroom!”—they scrambled for what should have been secured long ago. (Matthew 25:1–13)
Today, churches are filled with virgins—symbolically pure, ceremonially present—but many lack the oil of readiness. They have sermons but no Spirit, doctrines but no devotion, prophecy charts but no repentance. The wise will hear and fill their vessels. The foolish will debate theology while the trumpet sounds.
Don’t Be Left Behind: A Hyperbole or a Holy Warning?
To say “Don’t be left behind” is not spiritual sensationalism. It is eternal realism. For what is more dangerous than the wrath of a Lamb? (Revelation 6:16) What is more terrifying than grace expired?
Imagine a child laughing beside railroad tracks while the rumble of a freight train grows louder. That is the modern world—distracted, deluded, and determined to mock the messengers sent to save them.
Yes, we preach love. Yes, we speak of grace. But grace unreceived becomes judgment. “How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?” (Hebrews 2:3). Grace is not eternal; it is urgent.
The Tribulation Is Coming: What Does It Mean?
It will not be mere political unrest. It is the final act of a holy drama written before time. The Restrainer will be lifted (2 Thessalonians 2:7), the man of lawlessness will be revealed, and a flood of deception will sweep the globe.
What men call “peace and safety,” Heaven will call sudden destruction. (1 Thessalonians 5:3) What the nations call “progress,” the heavens will call apostasy.
The Tribulation is not just a timeline on a chart—it is a terrifying revelation of divine justice poured on a Christ-rejecting world. Those who mocked the Lamb will face the Lion. And beloved, the Rapture precedes it.
Eyes to See, Ears to Hear — Or Hearts to Sleep?
To many, this is foolishness. To the scholar, superstition. To the scoffer, delusion. But to the watchman? It is trumpet sound.
Scripture warned: “Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12). But the remnant must burn. Not with worldly rage, but with holy fire. While others drift into digital dreams and theological debates, the wise must awaken others before the cry becomes too faint. This is not the time for neutrality. It is the time for noisemaking.
A Final Plea: Find Refuge in Jesus
The way is narrow. The cost is real. But so is the glory. Let no one say: “I did not know.” Let no soul perish for want of a warning. If we truly love, we must cry out.
For “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish…” (John 3:16). But friend, to believe is not to nod your head. It is to repent, to surrender, to follow the Lamb wherever He goes.
Let the wise now trim their lamps. Let the foolish hear the groaning of the Earth. Let the Church cease her slumber and put on her bridal garments.
The Bridegroom is coming. Let him who has ears to hear—prepare. If you hear the shattering of the Earth and still sleep, perhaps it is not the Earth that is truly broken—but your discernment. Wake up, O sleeper. The Bridegroom delays no more.
